Morningstar Remote Temperature Sensor (RTS)

The Morningstar Remote Temperature Sensor (RTS) enables temperature-compensated battery charging for compatible Morningstar solar charge controllers, including the SunSaver MPPT (SS-MPPT-15L) and TriStar series. By measuring battery temperature directly at the battery terminals, it allows the charge controller to automatically adjust charge voltage — preventing overcharging in hot conditions and undercharging in cold conditions, significantly extending battery life.
